Can Yoga be practiced indoors? Yoga can be practiced anywhere provided the place should be well-ventilated, even, pleasant.
Can I eat or drink immediately after practicing asanas? Do not eat or drink until atleast 30 minutes after asanas. Also avoid even water or tea before asanas. Practice on empty stomach.
What should be my food habits during regular practice of Asanas? Avoid full stomach and spicy foods during regular practice of Asanas.
Is there any dress-code for practicing Yoga? Avoid full and tight dresses. Always wear loose and cotton dresses during practice of Asanas except in winter.
How much time I should allot for each Asana? Never practice Asanas in hurry. Follow one after the other in slow succession. During practicing asana, the breathing should be slow and deep with mouth closed. The duration of each asana maybe 5 to 7 minutes depending on your capacity and relax in-between the asanas and at the end of all asanas.
What should be the age to practice Yoga asanas? Men and women between 5 years of Age to above 80 years; Note: Young and aged should avoid difficult and strenuous postures; Patients of serious illness and pregnant women after 3rd month should avoid practicing asanas
Is guidance necessary to practice Yoga asanas? Always practice Yoga under the guidance of expert teacher. Begin with light and easy postures. Beginners may feel pain in joints and muscles after a couple of days of practice and this will go after regular practice.
