The registered office of the association shall be situated at the “Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, 68 Ashoka Road, New Delhi- 110001, India.

The aims and objectives to be pursued by the society are:

1. To promote and foster mutually beneficial interaction amongst alumni, present students of MDNIY, members of the association, the Institute, and other academic bodies/organizations, and to provide a forum for the exchange of experience, information and views.
2. To encourage the formation of chapters as a means to increase the participation of alumni.
3. To assist students, scholars of the Institute, and members of the association in their academic pursuits and professional careers.
4. To conduct seminars, conferences, workshops, endowment lectures, and other academic activities relating to Yoga and allied subjects under the Ayush system.
5. To create and establish alumni endowments for granting scholarships, prizes, and medals to the students showing high proficiency in their studies and honour former students of the institute.
6. To interact with State and Central Government bodies, universities, and associations of other academic institutionsor any other institution or organization on matters relating to the promotion of Yoga; primary, secondary, or higher education, training, and research and thereby promoting the welfare and status of the institute. Also, to participate in post-disaster management activities in India and abroad.
7. To collect funds by subscriptions, contributions, donations, and gifts from members, non-members, Governments, universities, and other institutions and philanthropists for the furtherance of the above objectives.
8. To render financial aid to deserving poor students studying at the institute.
9. To render financial aid to deserving alumni in cases of extremely compassionate circumstances.
10. To bring out e-magazines, souvenirs, and e-newsletters and to highlight the activities of the institute and its alumni through social media.
11. To organize and arrange cultural and educational programs and conduct alumni day celebrations every year and alumni meet/get-togethers after every years or as required.
12. To seek advice from the institute on various issues and job opportunities that they may come across in their work and real life.
13. To carry out such other activities as may be necessary for furthering the above aims and objectives.
14. To frame Bye-Laws and Rules and Regulations for the conduct of the business of the Alumni Association and its officers and employees.
