As the world prepares for International Yoga Day 2025, the theme 'Yoga for One Earth, One Health' is at the heart of a broad range of programmes emphasizing the interconnectedness of physical, mental, and environmental health. This aligns with global movements toward sustainability and unity.

The Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, has planned several programmes, including a flagship initiative titled "Yoga Samavesh". This programme focuses on promoting Yoga among special groups such as:

  • Senior citizens
  • Diabetic patients
  • Pregnant women
  • Individuals undergoing drug de-addiction treatment

Global Outreach

During his address, the Prime Minister expressed pride in the growing global embrace of Yoga and India’s traditional health systems. He applauded the contributions of international teams like 'Somos India' (“We are India” in Spanish), who have promoted Yoga and Ayurveda in Spanish-speaking regions through educational outreach and treatments.

Their efforts include translating key materials into Spanish and engaging nearly 9,000 participants in Yoga events last year alone.

PM Modi encouraged all citizens to make Yoga a part of their daily lives and take pride in India’s traditional wisdom that nurtures holistic health and well-being.
